My Background

Qualified English Teacher (QTS) with 10 years experience in four London Secondary Schools

With ten years experience of teaching English at a number of diverse schools across London, I’m equipped with the skills and ability to teach a wide variety of students, of a range of differing abilities, backgrounds and individual needs, to a standard that gives them the opportunity to achieve well in English.

My teaching career means that I am fully versed in the teaching of the entire curriculum across KS3&4 English and possess a full understanding of the tools required to successfully navigate the individual units and meet the assessment objectives. During that period, I was able to support hundreds of young people to achieve their best in English and secure grades that enabled them to move confidently towards their career pathway, a mission objective that I’ve continued while transitioning into tutoring.

In addition to teaching English, I was also a Head of Year, emphasising the passion I have towards improving the life chances of every young person I’m fortunate enough to teach/tutor. My decision to exit the classroom and move into tutoring was made with the desire to provide a more personalised experience that I feel can have an even greater impact than the one I was able to have in a school environment.

As well as tutoring, my commitment to supporting our next generation to become the best versions of themselves, means that I also offer 1-1 mentoring services of young people drawing on my years of experience as a credentialed Mentor, Personal Coach and Head of Year/Key Stage.

My passion for character building and developing people as a whole is also present in my teaching style and young people that select me to be their tutor can expect a whole hearted, personalised, relatable and accessible approach to supporting them in their journey.
